Entertainment Venues – Operations Support

The Entertainment Venues Division of Tamworth Regional Council operate a diverse range of facilities that host over 200 shows, concerts, plays, fairs and conferences every year!

This is a rare opportunity to join the Venues Team in a crucial behind the scenes role in Council’s entertainment venues which includes the 402 seat proscenium arch Capitol Theatre, the 800 seat Tamworth Town Hall and the flexible 5,000 seat Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre (TRECC). 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with event set-up/pull down and bump-in/bump-out
  • Providing caretaker duties at our facilities and venues
  • Problem solving

Candidates with experience in fields such as Commercial Cleaning, Carpentry, Welding, Automotive Mechanical or similar will be highly regarded. 

This position has been classified as Grade 7 with an hourly rate of $26.67 per hour for 30.4 hours per week (plus 10% superannuation). Please note that the ordinary hours of work are arranged on a 7 day roster which may include night and weekend work to meet venue and event demands and may include on-call arrangements and additional hours from time to time.  Penalty rates apply and regular overtime is available. 

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing. Police Checks may be required as part of Council's recruitment process.
