Venues Operations Support

  • Permanent Part Time – 30.4 hours per week
  • 2 positions availalable

The Entertainment Venues Division of Tamworth Regional Council currently has a rare opportunity to join the Venues Technician Team and contribute to delivery of the technical and operational tasks of Council’s entertainment venues which includes the 402 seat proscenium arch Capitol Theatre, the 800 seat Tamworth Town Hall and the flexible 5,000 seat Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre (TRECC).

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III in a relevant field (such as Commercial Cleaning, Carpentry, Welding, Automotive Mechanical etc) or equivalent relevant experience together with the following tickets and experience:

  • Current Driver Licence
  • WHS Construction Induction Card
  • Forklift and Elevated Work Platform Tickets
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in assisting with event set-up/pull down and bump-in/bump-out
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective caretaking of facilities/venues
  • Strong time management skills

These positions have been classified as a Grade 7 role with an hourly rate of $27.20 for 30.4 hours per week (plus superannuation). Please note that the ordinary hours of work are arranged on a 7 day roster which may include night and weekend work as and when required to meet venue and event demands and may include on-call arrangements from time to time.
