Town Planner – Statutory

Job No. CB17463

$79,366.73 - $91,271.74 per annum + super

Permanent full time - 35 hours per week, Nine-day fortnight, Lease back vehicle available & mobile phone

 

Do you have previous experience in town planning? Are you interested in working for a progressive and innovative Council? Then we may have the role for you.

 

Working as part of our statutory planning team, you will use your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations to undertake a technical and merit-based assessment of Development and other related applications submitted to Council.

 

As a Town Planner, you will also be responsible for assessing development applications, liaising with statutory bodies and other professionals, and ensuring compliance with Council policies and other appropriate regulations.

 

Utilising your excellent communication skills, you will provide technical advice to other staff and customers on development applications, and produce high quality written reports to relevant committees including the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel, Council’s Local Planning Panel and Design Review Panel.

 

The successful applicant will have a degree in Town Planning or related discipline, a minimum of 12 months experience in the assessment of development applications, working knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
