Sewer and Water Coordinator

Temora Shire Council is seeking to employ a highly motivated, trade qualified person to coordinate and deliver high quality operation, maintenance, renewal and upgrade of Council’s Sewage and Recycled Water Systems. The position is predominantly a hands-on trade position with a focus on plumbing, drainage and irrigation maintenance. However, the role also includes staff supervision, roster management, software operation, asset inspection, works programming and general sewer/water administration and reporting.

To apply for this position, you must have:

  • A trade certificate in Plumbing
  • staff management experience
  • sound computer-based technology skills
  • a current class C drivers’ licence
  • a current WHS White Card
  • be physically fit and able to work outdoors.

The successful applicant will be required to periodically be on call for after-hours emergency work.

The position is being offered at Grade 8 of Council’s Salary System with a salary range of $1357.00 to 1527.32 per week, plus superannuation. Employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award 2020. Appointment is subject to compliance with Council’s Standard Conditions of Employment. A complete medical fitness assessment will be required to be undertaken by the successful applicant.
