Are you dynamic, passionate and future focused Planner? We are seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to work in and make a difference in one of the fasted growing regions of NSW.


What You’ll Do

Working within the strategy team you will be responsible for reviewing future developments, making evidence based recommendations ensuring a strong future for the Port Macquarie-Hastings area.

Your work in this role will be associated with the strategic aspects of land use planning including:

  • New land use strategies
  • Monitoring and reviewing existing strategies i.e. Urban Growth Management Strategy
  • Master Plans
  • LGS-wide Development Control Plan preparation
  • LGA-wide Local Environmental Plan preparation


What You’ll Bring to the Team

You will be a natural communicator who is not afraid to challenge the status quo in a positive, substantiated manner. By being future focused you will be able to adapt to changing priorities and community focus.

You should be comfortable and capable of reading, reviewing, advising on and creating strategy and corporate documents in relation to planning as well as being able to positively liaise with key stakeholders on emotive subjects.

This is a permanent, full time role, with a salary range between $91,537-$103,027 depending on skills and experience plus access to Council’s Flexible Working Arrangements Policy.
