The Plant & Fleet Division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a qualified Mechanic to carry out maintenance, repair and servicing of Council’s plant and vehicle fleet (including sundry plant and equipment).
The ability to communicate, work with minimum supervision and work within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
The successful candidate will need to possess a Trade Certificate in Mechanics or equivalent and hold a current Driver Licence.
This position has been classified as a Grade 9 with a salary range of $1,072.70 to $1,160.80 (base rate) for 38 hours work per week (plus superannuation). The hours of work will generally be between 7.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday working a 9 day fortnight.
The position requires participation in a roster to provide out of hours and on call services to meet Council’s operational and customer service obligations. Where work is required out of normal hours, penalty rates and industry allowances in addition to the salary detailed above apply.
