We have a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager who thrives working in a team environment. You’ll provide expertise in payroll, direction and leadership to the Payroll Team, and ensure high performance service delivery of an efficient and effective payroll function.


You will prepare and process the fortnightly payroll in accordance with the Local Government Award, Council’s Enterprise Agreements and policies. You will also maintain employee records and provide effective communications with staff regarding payroll matters.


To be successful, you’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role managing end-to-end payroll processes, and extensive experience in the interpretation and application of policies and legislation including Awards, Annual Leave, Long Service Leave, Superannuation, ATO Single Touch Payroll, PAYG requirements, industrial relations practices. Prior CHRIS21 and Local/State Government experience is essential together with high level of numeracy, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
