A rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a dedicated and driven individual to join our Procurement unit as a Team Leader.

In this role you will lead the Procurement team and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs and ensure achievement of the strategic procurement objectives.

This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full time basis.

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $99,521 (Grade I, Step1) + 9.5% super

Your duties in this role will include:

  • Leading the procurement unit by providing assistance and support to develop and motivate unit staff and increase performance.
  • Providing advice and guidance on issues relating to all procurement sourcing activities
  • Leading procurement activities including the development of appropriate approach-to-market strategies
  • Leading continuous improvement, drive purchasing behavioural change and promote innovation.
  • Collaborating with internal and supplier stakeholders to optimise procurement outcomes.
  • Providing commercial support and advice to the business units in contractual issues.
  • Managing compliance with the procurement principles of probity, transparency, equity, accountability, record keeping and value for money.
  • Training staff in procurement processes and systems.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement and supply chain management or other related discipline.
  • Broad experience at a senior level in managing and completing high volumes of procurement transactions.
  • Demonstrated skills in the delivery of procurement outcomes and the construction and management of contracts.
  • Experience in leading, developing and managing of procurement staff.
  • Ability to engage multi-function teams, to deliver the procurement elements, of major projects.
  • Ability to analyse data and generate reports, to continuously improve processes and systems and drive economic benefits.
  • Good written communication, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Experience in implementing and using electronic procurement and evaluation software/systems.
